Question by Anne R: What causes a person to want to sniff gas? What is it like? Side effects? Any images of the brain?
I’ve never done it, but recently found out that I have a close family member that’s 29 years old and did it for awhile when he was younger and is back into it. Supposedly he’s been doing it since the beginning of the summer and I just wonder what is going on?? I’ve never done it and have no idea what it’s like? What’s making him want to do this? How long can a person do it before they could die? What is the high like? He says he “loses time”… as in three hours will go by and he has no idea what happened during that time. What ‘is’ happening during this time? I want more info. Serious answers only please… Any doctors have any info on this?

i kinda just makes you light headed and a little dizzy. it can give you a major headache too. it smells good to some people stinks to others. they just do it to get high. its dumb though it kills your brain cells. you can do it for years or your whole life it depends on each person and their system. he must really be sniffing that stuff if he feels like that. i think he is yanking your chain. gas dont get you high for long. he will pass out way way way before 3 hours.
