Yes it is. However, do not confuse dependence with addiction.
Addiction means you can develop compulsive behavior to get a hold of the drug at any cost, without regard to screwing your social life (family/friends), your finances, your school/work, or even your very life. You will do stupid things just to get a hold of the drug. This is pretty much the medical definition “simplified” into every day language.
I am sure there will be people who say weed should be legalized and whatnot (and they are entitled to their own opinion), but I am in the camp that feels it should at least be restricted.
