Question by : Is it bad to take two 500 mg Naproxens at a time?
I’m 16, 5’1″ about 98-100 pounds (It goes up and down often). I got prescribed 500 mg Naproxens for my chronic migraines, and I always take two at a time 2-3 times a day. Even though I directed 1. I’ve always taken two 500 mg ibprophen because I felt like 1 didn’t work, but then it just stopped working altogether. I’ve never tried 1 naproxen at a time because 2 work so well. But today my friend said that I’m taking way to much. Is it drug abuse? My family also believes I’ve become “addicted” to pain killers. It’s really just the only way to stop my painful migraines.

Only take them as directed. If you feel that they are not doing a good job, convey this to your doctor. Don’t self medicate.

Like what “Keith” said, you should listen to what your doctor has prescribe you.
You probably developed some sort of drug tolerance where you need more of it to make the effect you need.
